Edit tool bugfixes, additional preference pages, better layer colour assignments, much faster AWT to SWT conversion, and a new plugin for selecting a WMS style.

This release features improved rendering performance for large shapefiles (with a reduced memory footprint), a feedback dialog that opens when shapefile indexing occurs, a "tip of the day" dialog with useful hints and tips, and save/export fixes. In addition, keyboard shortcuts were improved, the distance tool precision is less insane, an upgrade was made to JTS 1.7, and the edit tools received many fixes.

This release adds a measurement tool (currently only metric distances
are supported), custom CRS fixes (and persistence), and themeing style
editor rule deletion (selective feature rendering). It fixes one of
the changes to the WMS renderer which caused problems with certain
projections, issues regarding the exportation of Style objects and
editing of existing Style objects, and several editing tools bugs.
