VLC media player is a multimedia player, framework, streamer, and encoder. It can play inputs like files, network streams, DVDs, audio CDs, Blu-Rays, capture devices, and screens. VLC 2.0.0 "Twoflower" is a major new release of VLC. It has faster decoding using multi-core, GPU, and mobile hardware, and the ability to open more formats, notably professional, HD, and 10bits codecs. It has a new rendering pipeline for video, with higher quality subtitles and new video filters. It supports many new devices and BluRay Discs (experimental).
