Upload resuming, building without PAM, building on Solaris, and building with older versions of gcc have all been fixed. The "install" target has been improved. Support has been added for libcap and for NFS mounted home directories. The download message has been improved.

Added bandwidth limiting support, simple guest support, and user deny list support. Fixed chown_upload. Enhanced PAM support. Enhanced HP-UX support. Speeded up directory listing. Changed to not show dotfiles by default.

Elimination of a race leading to zombie processes, a fix for a bug where timeout goes off incorrectly, a fix for crash bug in logging code, logging of logins, a new option to log entire FTP protocol, cleanups, tweaks, and more paranoia.

This release fixes possible signal handler races and possible hung
server sessions. Ports to Solaris 2.6, HP-UX 10/11, and IRIX 6.5 have
been made. The MDTM command for "ncftp", an option for the "-R" flag
to "ls" for the clients "ncftp" and especially "mirror", and lots of
cleanups have been added.

There are many performance fixes for large
directories. RFC compliance: starting up in ASCII
mode, has been added. A work around for
broken firewalls having PASV mode trouble. The
-l, -t, -r, -a arguments have been added to the
"ls" command. setproctitle() support has been
added. It now builds and runs on FreeBSD 3.x and
glibc-2.0 machines. There is a workaround for a
Linux Kernel 2.0 bug.
