Project Description

WACS is a tool for building adult Web sites. It is equally suitable for managing a private collection or building a commercial site. WACS has many best of breed features, including dynamic filtering, model catalogs, random sampling, galleries, automatic download, and a powerful search engine. WACS contains both a full ready-to-run Web environment and an extensive programming API implemented in both Perl and PHP.

This is the Wacs-PHP release to coincide with the mainstream Wacs 0.6.2 release. It supports the new parameters, features and schema changes brought into the main Wacs package at 0.6.2. It also sees the implementation in PHP of two of the most useful date manipulation functions in the WACS API: gettoday and timecomps. These are extremely useful for doing What's New pages. There's also a new section of the documentation describing the different symantics of these new routines from their Perl equivalents.

The set index page got a massive makeover with a
new pretty paginated style, much improved
formatting, and more links and information. The
search forms have also had a major makeover with
new icons, the ratings search system working, and
a more compact layout. The new context sensitive
JavaScript menus have been added to much more of
the system, including the new additions pages. The
installer script has been updated significantly
and now supports Ubuntu (Feisty Fawn) as well as
Fedora.
