Project Summary (2002-06-13 01:16 by ohsugi #943)

RE: Project Summary (2002-06-13 18:21 by osa #952)

Video game industry was born and developed greatly in the second half of the 20th century.
Since Spacewar! was developed in MIT in 1962 and PONG developed by Atari is commercially successful,
many video games are developed and played today.
However, it is becoming the situation of oversupply.
Like the example of Atari-Shock, oversupply may cause collapse of a market.
The purpose of this project is developing Recommendation System that recommends the game which suited liking of a user from a huge quantity of the game.
This system recommends the video game at the following steps:
(1)A user inputs the evaluation of the game which played in the past.
(2)A user's favorite tendency is analyzed from (1) and A system guesses evaluation of the game which the user has not played yet.
(3)A system recommends a game which was high evaluation to user.
There is MovieLens[1] that recommends movie, CiteSeer[2] that recommends the paper and Amazon.com[3] that recommends the books as same system.
However, the system which recommends a video game is not developed yet.
