Could it be possible to drop the calls to
gnome_program_init and gnome_pixmap_file so that the
application becomes usable without installing all the
gnome libs (thinking about Xfce users)?
I've quickly looked at the code and didn't see any
other call to libgnome* (putting gconf aside).
