We are planing an update for luaotfload at the begin of the week. The main change is the update of the core fontloader to the current state in context. This update is necessary as the current luaotfload doesn't work with luatex version >1.07. The update made it also necessary to update the lualibs package used by luaotfload. It will be uploaded at the same time. .
As the last update was february 2017 quite a number of things have changed. So I would be grateful if you could test the new versions before the upload.
The new luaotfload version is currently in this repository in the dev-2.9 branch:

There is a luaotfload-ctan.zip which contains also a .tds.zip. which can be unpacked for tests.
