luaotfload v2.98 (2019-07-04) では，「存在しない文字コードの glyph node の直後に /.notdef の glyph node を挿入する」処理が標準で行われるようになりました．しかし現在の LuaTeX-ja はそれに対応しておらず，もともとの（存在しない文字の）glyph node と 自動で追加された /.notdef を別々の和文文字と認識してしまいます．
