Details

I get

. . . /luatexja/ltj-base.lua:231: module 'lualibs-gzip' not found
when I run lualatex on this source
  1. \documentclass{article}
  2. \usepackage{luatexja}
  3. \begin{document}
  4. Hello
  5. \end{document}
I searched under /usr/local/texlive/2022/ but didn't find any file named *lualibs-gzip* while I found a lot of files named lualibs-*.lua (fd -g '*lualibs*').

I use texlive 2022 on macOS 12.6, both constantly upgraded. It seems that a recent upgrade on texlive has broken it.

Comment

This is same as #45784. Recent update of lualibs (2022-10-04) renames lualibs-gzip.lua to luaibs-util-zip.lua, but I didn't notice it until that ticket... .

I already uploaded the new version of LuaTeX-ja (2022-10-06). So please update TL few days later, or apply the patch at the comment of #45784.
