Migu 1M での算術記号 (2011-02-17 11:13 by ひろせ #55824)

いつも有り難く使わせて頂いています。

遅ればせながら名前の変更されたフォントに入れ替えさせて頂いたのですが、Migu 1M において全角の「±」「×」「÷」が半角の幅で表示されてしまうようです。(右半分が空いてしまう)

よろしくお願いします。

ギリシャ字（λなど）も同様に半角表示されるようです．
もしグリフの問題で，かつ修正可能であれば，ご対応
いただけると幸いです．

私もSourceForgeでソフトウェアを配布しており，
その中で itouhiroさんのフォントを利用させて
いただいております．

とても良いフォントで，個人的に非常に気に入っております．

こんにちは。
「M+の固定幅フォントで半角の文字を、全角にするべきか」については

でも議論されています。

ギリシャ文字や欧米でも使用する記号について見てみました。

・M+の等幅フォント（M+1m等）は欧米でも使われるフォントなので、多くが半角。
・IPAゴシック（等幅）Ver.003.02だとすべて全角。

Migu 1Mは全角にするのがいいのか‥。
ちょっと考えどころです。

すでに英語、フランス語、ドイツ語などは半角で収録されているわけで、
ギリシャ語も欧米語の一つと考えれば半角になるのが正しく思えます。
全角にするのは抵抗もあるのですが‥

といってもMigu 1Mが日本人向けフォントなのは確かなので、
IPAゴシックに合わせて、すべて全角で 一度作ってみます。

修正は、次のリリースまでにする予定です。
次のリリースは3カ月後かも。

P.S.
私もksugitaさんのNTEmacsとgnupack使用させていただいてます。
Migu 1Mの行送り幅をせまくしたのはksugitaさんのブログを読んだのもきっかけになりました。

次回リリースへの反映を検討いただき，ありがとうございます．

Ambigious指定されているグリフの全角/半角の件，難しいところですね．
リンク先の内容を見て，確かに，ギリシャ文字が全角である必要性は？
と言われれば，そうかとも思います．とはいえ，従来のMSゴシックなどで
全角表示されていたことから考えると気持ち悪い気もしますが．

個人的な希望だけであれば，全角表示できると嬉しいですが，
itouhiroさんのポリシーで決めていただくで良いと思います．
# 全角版，半角版でバージョンを複数メンテするのも大変だと思いますので．

gnupackご利用いただいているとのことで，ありがとうございます．
また，行送り幅を狭くしようと思った一つの要因に，私のブログが
あったとのこと，嬉しく思います．

20110418版のMigu 1Mで、IPAゴシックで全角表示になるAmbiguous文字については、すべて全角で表示するようにしました。算術記号、ギリシャ文字など対応できているはずです。

ダイアクリティカルマーク付きの文字ですが、
ギリシャ・キリル文字の半角全角混ぜこぜになっています。
ギリシャ・キリル文字が全角である理由が私にはわかりませんが、
そうであるなら、統一したほうがいいのではないでしょうか。

とてもいいフォントですが、全角の方針ならば、
個人的には、残念ながらm+に戻ることになりそうです。

MigMixはどうでしょう？
全角の方針なのはMigu 1M/2Mだけです。MigMix 1M/2Mは文字幅を変更していないので、M+と同じ文字幅です。

ギリシャ・キリル文字をMiguで全角にする理由は2つあります。

1) 日本語環境では「ギリシャ・キリル文字は全角」と判定するアプリケーションがあるので、それに対応するためです。たとえば以下

2) 日本語フォントとして多く使われている ＭＳ ゴシック、IPAゴシックと なるべく同じ文字幅にして互換性を上げるためです。

m+よりよさそうですね。

１の理由はやはり理解できません。
特定のアプリケーションの事情に合わせるというのは・・・。

２は困ったものですね。
日本語の標準エンコードが混乱してるのと同様の匂いがします。
論理的にギリシャ文字が全角になる理由が見当たりません。
M＄が根源ですね。
作者様の方針は理解できます。

MigMix/Miguでは ○ □ の文字は全角で収録されています。
もし半角で表示されるなら、それは別のフォントが表示しています。

どういう環境（使用OS、使用ソフト、表示文字列）でその表示になったかの情報があれば、さらに検証できます。
