sourceforge vs osdn in mail subject
Yes, we want to change it but currently we can't because
As Mutsumi-san explains, the name sourceforge is being used as a project that holds special authority over the entire OSDN system. So, to fundamentally solve this problem is difficult. This condition has been there since the initial implementation in 1999.
That said, from the users who use OSDN.net, it certainly is very complicated. There isn’t much need to manage user support on this project, so creating another project anew for support could be a viable solution. However, in this case, there lies a problem which concerns how to succeed the data from the past.
Could you give us some more time to think regarding this matter?
I understand that changing the project name itself is a difficult modification that involves a massive amount of data and complexity. Is there a method of applying a text exchange filter on the mail send side for only the subject? This would then give you time to contemplate a full project name change after which you could remove the text exchange filter.
We have discussed how do deal with this ticket, and then we realized that most of the open tickets on this OSDN Admin Project were, in the first place, the ones that had been issued during the former brand era. The former brand era when targeted users and service provided areas were limited due to the agreement is much too different from the current situation of OSDN.net. In reality, a lot of the tickets don’t mean much now, and that is possibly incurring confusions among new developers.
Therefore, we created anew this project designed especially for support.
With this project being created, the problem of getting sourceforge included in mail subject is now resolved.

Maybe use this instead

Because the link on the Support Project’s Description was directed to /sourceforge/news, we changed it to the correct link.
OSDN Announcement was moved to https://osdn.net/projects/docs-en/news/ two years ago. Also, you can get to this /news area from the box shown at the upper right of the top page of https://osdn.net/ .
