Details

Content created inside shell.osdn.net:/home/groups/.../htdocs/ by default seems to have write permissions exclusive for the user who creates it.

Like this it is impossible to handle content with multiple members of a project.

Please change the default to include write permissions also for group.

Thank you.

Thank you for your continued support of Manjaro and derivatives.

We are using scripts to update permalinks to the latest ISO. And the script fails if the file is owned by another user.

It would be awesome if you could change the default permissions on the shell server as @oberon requested.

--- example

fhdk@sf-usr-shell:/home/groups/m/ma/manjaro/htdocs$ ls -la total 32 drwxrwsr-x 7 manjaro.p manjaro 4096 Feb 20 06:43 . drwxrwsr-x 4 manjaro.p manjaro 4096 Jul 2 2016 .. -rw-rw-r-- 1 fhdk manjaro 63 Feb 20 06:42 .htaccess drwxrwxr-x 4 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 20 06:40 _h5ai drwxrwsr-x 2 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 20 05:59 architect drwxrwsr-x 2 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 22 03:19 gnome drwxrwsr-x 2 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 22 04:32 kde drwxrwsr-x 2 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 22 03:51 xfce fhdk@sf-usr-shell:/home/groups/m/ma/manjaro/htdocs$ cd gnome fhdk@sf-usr-shell:/home/groups/m/ma/manjaro/htdocs/gnome$ ls -la total 16 drwxrwsr-x 2 fhdk manjaro 4096 Feb 22 03:19 . drwxrwsr-x 7 manjaro.p manjaro 4096 Feb 20 06:43 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 philm manjaro 438 Feb 22 03:19 latest -rw-r--r-- 1 philm manjaro 119 Feb 22 03:19 latest.php fhdk@sf-usr-shell:/home/groups/m/ma/manjaro/htdocs/gnome$

It is a problem with the manjaro-community project as well

I was now able to set sticky write permissions for the htdoc directory with umask. So in our case this is solved. However I still think it will be good to change the default in general.
