"Wrap Text" in 2.0 b.4 (2007-04-01 01:55 by gbusch #28736)

I'm using Tombo 2.0 b.4 on my Dell Axim x51v PDA, which is a WM5 device. The improvements over earlier versions are very good, with the following exception:

With both the WM5 and the PPC version for VGA, the text always wraps exactly at the right edge of the window, with the result that many words are split in two if they don't happen to fit. I've been forced to write my notes without wordwrap and end each line with a carriage return.

Is this text wrap behavior intentional, or a bug?

Gerry

Just to follow up my previous post: I tried going back to an earlier version, and 1.9 works perfectly, including the wordwrap, so the only thing lacking now is unlimited file size. IMHO, If the official release of 2.0 can accomplish this while restoring the wordwrap from the earlier versions, Tombo won't need any further development.

As for the display of invisible characters, I don't find the feature all that necessary.

I can only agree with Gerry. The word wrap behaved better in previous revs and it would be great if this could be fixed.
The invisible characters don't distract me and I tend to like them.
A bug which already existed in previous revs. and still exists is with the autosave function. If a file with a given name is autosaved it is not saved under that name but a copy is created with the name synced from the first line. This happens although the option 'sync file name and title' is disabled.
But still, Tombo is a great piece of work.

I too would be very interested in knowing if this wrapping behaviour has been fixed. While I love the unlimited file size, the fixed line-breaking is pretty hard to deal with.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Cheers
