Linux4Geeks is a LFS-based small distro which
works around several problems and issues
mainstream Linux distributions have. It offers
different versions compiled for each architecture
and has all the packages required for a slim
installation including a firewall and network
administration tools, amongst others.

MINIX is a free UNIX clone that is available with all the source code. Due to its small size, microkernel-based design, and ample documentation, it is well suited to people who want to run a UNIX-like system on their personal computer and learn about how such systems work inside. It is possible for a person unfamiliar with operating system internals to understand nearly the entire system after just a few months use and study.

ScaraOS is a 32-bit, multiboot-compliant, monolithic OS kernel. It has the beginnings of a paged VM system and VFS. It supports PCI, DMA, AT floppies (read only), EXT2, and can do all the low-level stuff expected of an OS kernel (program the PIC, handle interrupts, control the timer, etc.). It was written primarily to learn OS fundamentals. It boots using any multiboot bootloader, and it has been tested with grub on qemu and KVM. Bootable floppy images are available.

Alfalinux is a Slackware-like Linux distribution on two floppy disks. It doesn't have any restrictive/reduced/remade system parts and contains all the required applications for disk operations, recovering, and networking.

IceB is personal and corporate accounting software
that can manage multiple accounts, multiple bases,
and multiple users. It manages third parties,
expenditures, and receipts categories, and also
budgetary lines, financial years, and other
information.

Kevux is an operating system based mainly on GNU
operating programs and a Linux kernel, all
compiled with uclibc instead of the more common
glibc. It is not FHS or LSB compatible. Compared
to other Linux distributions, Kevux is space
efficient (making it suitable for USB disk
operation) and difficult to hack into.

The xmlprocfs is a new filesystem to report the data reported by proc filesystem in XML format, so the applications can read it easily. There is not any other difference between xmlproc filesystem and proc filesystem. Only some files can generate XML data now.

File Content Recoverer (XFCR) is Linux-based tool
that recovers the content of your recently deleted
files or documents from memory through the
/proc/kcore virtual file. It has a graphical
interface built on GTK and targeted at desktop
users as well as administrators.

SCST is a mid-level SCSI target subsystem for
Linux. This subsystem allows a remote host to
access local storage devices through the SCSI
protocol. SCST supports multiple network storage
protocols, including iSCSI, SRP, and FCoE, and also supports Qlogic 22xx/23xx SCSI HBAs. Strong points of SCST are its stability, maturity, high
