joyd is a very flexible program that allows you to execute commands via a joystick or joypad attached to your computer. One simple possibility would be to reboot when your keyboard is hung. It can use any device supported by the Linux Joystick Driver. Helper applications allow you to test the joystick status in your own shell scripts.

check_1-wirehumid is a Nagios plugin that uses a
1-wire sensor to measure humidity. It returns
WARNING or CRITICAL if the humidity is too low or
high.

configure-thinkpad is a GNOME IBM ThinkPad
configuration tool. It allows you to standby,
suspend, or hibernate your ThinkPad, change the
speed of the ThinkPad CPU, set a time to wake up
the ThinkPad, enable/disable the internal pointing
device, and more. It uses GNOME 2 and is based on
tpctl and ntpctl.

Sstat is a kernel module for Linux 2.6 aimed at
providing basic SCSI I/O statistics. While better
tools exist for monitoring disk activity, SCSI (or
Fibre Channel) tapes have been neglected so far.
This module compiles out-of-tree and uses Kprobes
to access the information needed so it can be used
with "enterprise" kernels as well (where
recompilation or rebooting are not acceptable).

ubslogdump is a tool that dumps log files produced
by the SnoopyPro USB sniffer. It is useful for
conducting protocol analysis on USB devices not
currently supported by your chosen operating system.

lcccd14 is a kernel driver that gives normal user level programs the ability to communicate with the astronomical camera "OES LcCCD14". The module provides ioctl() commands for operating the camera electronics, setting up the cooling stage and controlling the integration of the image. It is intended to write a SANE backend later on that uses this module.

ftdi_eeprom is a tool for creating, uploading, and erasing
the configuration EEPROM for a FT232BM/FT245BM FTDI
chip. The EEPROM content is generated using a flexible
configuration file.

bmp-itouch is a Beep Media Player plugin that
allows you to take advantage of the extra
multimedia (playback and volume control) keys on
your Internet keyboard. You can reconfigure the
"Back", "Forward", etc. buttons on your keyboard
to work with bmp-itouch just by having the plugin
grab the key. When the plugin is used, you can use
the keys regardless of the current input focus.
The plugin won't work if some other application
(eg. xscreensaver) has grabbed the keyboard.

This is an SNMP daemon on host resources MIB of RFC 1514. It was written in TCL for portability across HPUnix, IRIX, NetBSD, SunOS and Linux. Depends on Scotty. Being more of an extension providing the Host Resources MIB, it is recommended that the system administrator has an additional SNMP daemon running on port 161 (the original SNMP port). Multiplexing two agents on the snmp port is available for this. Enjoy.

chartsd is a daemon that generates flow chart
diagrams from any log file with a specific format.
It can be used to generate diagrams from
statistics of the temperatures of the CPU, main
board, hard drives, or whatever.

qccat is a nicely polished CueCat output parser for shell scripts and other command-line applications. It is written in Perl and includes a fairly complete set of options for dealing with 'Cat datastreams.

KisoCD is a tool that assists you in creating and copying ISO CD-ROMs. It helps you to compose the contents of the CD while the work itself is done by mkisofs and cdrecord. It supports very easy creation of bootable and multisession CDs.

gvacm is a VACM plugin for GKrellM that allows the
user to show the status of machines for a
particular nexxus, using a simple metric showing the
number of running machines, versus the total
number of machines (i.e. "5/7").

Kit108 PHP Library is a PHP library for
controlling the Ocean Controls Kit108 serial
device. It supports both input and output.
