Cerberus-Prox is backend software for an
inexpensive, easy-to-build hardware system that
implements a functional door access control
system. It supports HID clock-and-data prox card
readers. A MySQL database (or theoretically any
JDBC) is used for data storage. RXTX is used for
serial port communication.

TapeChanger::MTX is a module to manipulate a tape
library using the 'mtx' tape library program. It
is meant to work with a simple shell/Perl script

X10MMS is a software suite that provides support
for the X10 CM19A USB home automation transceiver
under Linux. It allows users to control the device
directly, sending and receiving basic on/off
commands, and also includes a sample application
that allows XMMS to be remotely controlled using
the CM19A transceiver and an X10 palmpad remote.
The current CM19A driver is implemented as a
kernel module and requires an up-to-date 2.6.x
kernel. The program is completely user
configurable via a straightforward text file, so
you can assign any supported function to any
toggle key on the remote.

GFreqlet is a GNOME applet for Linux that not only
monitors CPU frequency scaling, but also allows
the end user to change the frequency or governor
with just a click. It automatically detects which
frequencies and governors your processor supports,
so there is no configuration required. The applet
itself is not run as root, nor required to modify
to run with root ownership, but password prompts
with gksudo if a superuser action is required.
GFreqlet is very straightforward and minimal, and
just does what it's supposed to.

The WebReboot Plugin for Nagios is a suite of
commands that can be used within Nagios to monitor
a server and take corrective action if necessary
via the WebReboot line of products. For example,
the plugin can be used to alert you if a host is
powered down, versus simply not responding to
network requests. Likewise, it can be used to
reboot a server if a host fails to respond to
ping, or to shut down a server when a critical
temperature threshold is exceeded. The commands
can be mixed-and-matched with all existing Nagios
commands, maximizing total network coverage.

lisodsp is a multi-open device driver for Linux. It is a kernel
module that installs a OSS DSP device which can be opened
many times in write mode. Reading the device produces a
mix of all opened channels. lisodspd is a full-featured user
space daemon which forwards audio data to a real OSS
device. In addition lisodspd allows the user to set up a filter
between a lisodsp device and the real OSS device. The
device supports all linear formats (8/16 bit, little/big endian,
mono/stereo) in a wide sampling range (4800 to 48000Hz).

Lapsus was created to provide easy access to
additional features of various laptops. Currently
there exists support for Asus and IBM laptops, but
IBM support is still highly experimental. It is
possible to control a laptop's LED status,
wireless, touchpad, and Bluetooth devices,
brightness of the LCD, and sound volume. These
features must be supported by either the
asus-laptop kernel module from the acpi4asus
project or the ibm-acpi driver.

The Jogdial Patch integrates the jogdial package
for Sony Vaio Notebooks with the Imwheel package.
This patch makes it possible to use the jogdial (a
kind of mouse wheel which is built into certain
Vaio notebooks) in all X applications to scroll up
and down or to deliver arbitrary keystrokes to X
applications. The patch works well with the
picturebook Sony Vaio PCG-C1XD and might work with
other notebooks with a jogdial.
