transitmount is simple rack/removable hard disk management. It mounts partitions not mentioned in fstab, by volume name if available, without needing root intervention. It is intended for desktop machines, either run by unprivileged users or people who often swap hard disks.

Colonist is a meta-distribution that exploits existing live CD Linux distributions by adapting them to the coLinux platform.

nALFS is interactive, ncurses-based application used for parsing the ALFS profiles (simple instructions in XML) and doing various things (like executing commands), one by one, to compile some packages from source.

Schmant is a build tool for building Java
programs. It provides a set of build tasks
(compile, text process, tar archive, etc.) and an
environment in which to run build scripts. Build
scripts can be written Groovy, JavaScript, JRuby, or Jython. The goal of the project is to be feature-comparable with Apache Ant, but much nicer to work with.

BitNami ocPortal Stack Native Installer is an easy-to-install distribution of the ocPortal application. It includes pre-configured, ready-to-run versions of Apache, MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin so users can get an ocPortal installation up and running in minutes after answering a few questions. Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and Unix operating systems are supported. ocPortal is a CMS with many Web 2.0 features for sophisticated sites. It supports many types of content (galleries, news/newsletters, etc.) and integrating rich media and advertising into them. Community features include forums, member blogs, chat rooms, wiki, and content commenting/rating. ocPortal lets you decide exactly how your site will look and behave. Features are plentiful, well integrated, and optional. Out-of-the-box, your site will meet the highest accessibility and professional standards.

Rally is a software component with a user interface which allows a user to install, update, and remove packages on RPM based operating systems. Primary functions (downloading software packages from network repositories and their installation) may be performed in parallel. The user interface is split into two independent parts: a graphical one and a command line utility. The graphical interface contains package searching and category browsing functions. Rally assumes the Fedora project as a reference platform.

pkgutils is a set of utilities (pkgadd, pkgrm,
pkginfo, and pkgmk), which are used for
installing, removing, querying, and building
software packages in Linux.

The Install Disks for Compaq Proliant help with installing Red Hat 5.2. The Web site also contains links for installing Red Hat 6.x and Slackware on a Proliant and the mailing list for Compaq and Linux.

Linux on a number of roughly identical x86
machines, based on a prototype machine.

FISH simplifies the installation of RPM packages
by providing automatic dependency handling and
RPM database manipulation.

Gentoo Category Select is a graphical tool for
selecting Gentoo Package Categories to exclude
from your local package repository. It does so by
weaning information from multiple directories and
files for convenience, as well as providing
warning about categories that should not be
excluded due to currently installed packages. This
is achieved without the addition of a
configuration file. Currently only the Qt
front-end is finished. It is modularly designed
for ease in creating front-ends based on other
toolkits. The advantages are saved disk space
(small/MMV), quicker rsync time (small/MMV), and a
lessening of bandwidth requirements by gentoo.org
and its mirrors.

libhardware is a very small static library used in many utilities that are part of the "Bad Penguin" distribution. It provides functions to access information about your system hardware, to detect the hardware, and to handle kernel modules automatically. It is able to enumerate all PCI devices, enumerate all EIDE disks and CDROMs, enumerate all SCSI disks and CDROMs, enumerate all EIDE/SCSI disk partitions, and check if a detected device is supported in the Linux kernel using a custom PCI database. It can also handle USB devices. The included shell scripts 'probedisk' and 'probepart' detect disks, CDROMs, and partitions. The included 'scanmodule' utility allows you to detect devices and load their kernel modules automatically.
