digup is a console tool to update md5sum or shasum digest files. It will read existing digest files, check the current directory for new, updated, modified, renamed, or deleted files, and query the user with a summary of changes. After reviewing the updates, they can be written back to the digest file. This makes digup very useful to update and verify incremental archives like chronological data storages, which are commonly stored and backed up on hard disks. Using a full file digest scan, even slowly creeping bad blocks on old hard disks can be detected. By using a crontab entry, this check can be performed unattended and routinely.

gbRRDGraphix is a graphical user interface that allows one to use RRDTool commands and "flow-tools" Netflow utilities easily. The project includes a scheduler to update the RRDTool database and a complete Web site to display all RRDtool graphics.

smtp-vilter is a high-performance content filter for sendmail, which detects email viruses and spam. It can pass, discard, or simply mark an email based on the results of a content scan. It relies on third-party products for the actual content scan. It uses the milter API to communicate with sendmail, and backends to communicate with the actual scanning engines. The backends can be chained to perform a series of checks on each message in one run.

improve the navigation of the site, and for
determining which parts are most worth
improving and keeping up to date. It
generates a directed, weighed graph from an
Apache log, but could easily be modified to
analyze any list of events.

The msn-proxy is a lightweight transparent proxy
for MSN Messenger clients. It allows you to
control and monitor the use of Messenger on your
network.

elfrc is a program which can turn arbitrary files
into ELF object files which can then be linked
into your program directly and accessed via
simple, user-defined symbol names. Since this is
much more effective than turning a binary file
into a C array and then compiling that, it's
possible to embed even huge (a few hundred
megabytes) files directly into the executable and
then access the data in constant time without
making the compiler or linker eat loads of memory.
