METAXPON ("Metachron" in Greek letters) is a small and fast audio DSP library for time-scale manipulation of 16-bit integer or 32-bit floating point stereo audio data streams. It employs a rigid phase-locked vocoder with dedicated transient detection and processing, and can work in real-time or non-real-time. Four editions are included - a portable edition and three x86 editions. The portable edition can be built with any ANSI C compiler and is OS- and architecture-independent. The three x86 editions are written in assembly using the FPU, 3DNow!, and SSE instruction sets, respectively, with automatic selection between them depending on the CPU capabilities. They can be compiled with MASM, JWASM, or NASM, producing libraries of object files in 8 formats.

Oberon2 is a simple and safe object-oriented
language created by N.Wirth, the author of Pascal
and Modula2. It is statically strongly typed and
has garbage collection. Most of good ideas
incorporated in design of Java were in Oberon2
long before. OOC is an open source project to
produce a family of optimizing Oberon2 compilers.
The compiler with an ANSI C back-end, oo2c, is
quite mature, and provides a complete and
convenient Oberon2 development environment. It
comes with a rather comprehensive standard
library, Code Navigator, and an Emacs mode. It is
easy to call C functions and libraries from

GNU cim

GNU Cim is a compiler for the programming language Simula (except unspecified parameters to formal or virtual procedures). It offers a class concept, separate compilation with full type checking, interface to external C routines, an application package for process simulation and a coroutine concept. Its portability is based on the C programming language. The compiler and the run-time system is written in C, and the compiler produces C code, that is passed to a C compiler for further processing towards machine code.
