CPANPLUS::Dist::Slackware creates Slackware-compatible packages from Perl modules available at the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN).

S-terminal lets you create a secure X terminal. Regular X terminals pass unencrypted data between you the remote machine. S-terminal creates an encrypted tunnel through which all X traffic passes. It replaces the remote xdm login screen with a local application that collects username and password, then sets up an ssh tunnel to the remote host and starts a session. It is highly configurable both in appearance and behavior, and deployed S-terminals can be remotely administered. Best of all, it can be added to a KNOPPIX CD to create an instant, bootable, secure X terminal CD.

The fdutils package contains utilities for configuring and debugging the Linux floppy driver, for formatting extra capacity disks (up to 1992K on a high density disk), and for sending raw commands to the floppy controller.

Linux Inventory Aggregator is designed to be a
simple, self-contained (as much as possible)

ClusterIt is a suite of software to allow easy
maintenance of large groups of machines. It does
not provide a parallel programing environment, but
is meant to be utilized in managing one, or simply
to manage massive server farms. It includes such
features as parallel rsh, parallel copy, parallel
virtual xterminals (xterms), and job scheduling
facilities for performing parallel compiling. It also
has programs to allow barrier syncing in shell
scripts.

Nessconnect is a GUI, CLI, and API client for
Nessus and Nessus compatible servers. With its
user interface, it provides local session
management, scan templates, report generation
through XSLT, charts, and graphs, and
vulnerability trending.

op allows fine-grained control of access to super-user privileges
through easy-to-remember mnemonics. It features user- and host-based
access control, command expiration, netgroup support, drop-in
configuration files, and more.

Ops Control Panel is a frontend for MRTG. Unlike many other frontends,
it does not have any requirements beyond those of MRTG, although it
can support PHP-enabled Web servers instead of just running as a Perl
CGI script. It provides overviews of MRTG-based monitoring pages in a
variety of formats.

bcnu is a Web-based system management tool which delivers information on the status of networked systems in a simple and easy-to-use manner. It uses a web browser to display information about hosts in a tabular form. Historical information can be held indefinitely, and there is a powerful query tool available to interrogate it. Client systems can run an agent which logs information back to a central system. An agent scheduler is integrated to allow agents to be run at different intervals. Standard agents include ftp, http, disk space, logfiles, processes, and more.
