Omnitty is a curses-based program that allows you to log
into several machines simultaneously and interact with them,
selectively directing input to individual machines or groups of
selected machines. You can run both line-oriented and
screen-oriented in the target machines, because it has built-
in terminal emulation capability. When the window is large
enough, Omnitty also displays a "summary area" for each
machine, in which it shows what the latest output from the
machine was, so you can have an idea of what is going on in
each machine.

sptrace is a LKM designed to give administrators more control over the ptrace() call. It limits users' access to the ptrace() call. It can disable ptrace altogether, or if you add a ptrace group to your system, only users in that group will be able to use ptrace().

CPANPLUS::Dist::Slackware creates Slackware-compatible packages from Perl modules available at the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN).

x509watch is a simple command line application that can be used to list soon expiring or already expired X.509 certificates, such as SSL certificates. All certificates are searched by default in the standard PKI directory, but any other directory can be specified as a parameter. Only Base64 encoded DER and PEM X.509 certificates are supported.

Logtool is a syslog file parser, report generator, and monitoring utility. It takes logfiles from syslog, multilog, or other ASCII log generating sources as input from stdin, and depending on command line switches and/or config file settings, will parse and filter out unwanted messages from the logfile accordingly, and generate output in ANSI color, formatted ASCII, CSV (for spreadsheets), or HTML format. It is very handy for use in automated nightly reports, and online monitoring of logfile activity. It comes with some simple example scripts and documentation.

ifstat is a tool to report network interface
bandwith just like vmstat/iostat do for other
system counters. It can monitor local interfaces
by polling the kernel counters, or remote hosts'
interfaces using SNMP.

Xrdesktop is a GTK-Perl frontend for rdesktop that allows
saving and editing of session configurations. Its aim is to
support all the command-line options of rdesktop in an
easy-to-use GUI.

op allows fine-grained control of access to super-user privileges
through easy-to-remember mnemonics. It features user- and host-based
access control, command expiration, netgroup support, drop-in
configuration files, and more.

S-terminal lets you create a secure X terminal. Regular X terminals pass unencrypted data between you the remote machine. S-terminal creates an encrypted tunnel through which all X traffic passes. It replaces the remote xdm login screen with a local application that collects username and password, then sets up an ssh tunnel to the remote host and starts a session. It is highly configurable both in appearance and behavior, and deployed S-terminals can be remotely administered. Best of all, it can be added to a KNOPPIX CD to create an instant, bootable, secure X terminal CD.

LDAPAuthManager is a Web-based application designed to make LDAP user and group management easy and quick.

Virus Update Server (vsuserver) helps you maintain an updated mirror of the antivirus updates from the McAfee/Network Associates servers without having to download the entire list of updates every time a new antivirus update is available. It mirrors all the files needed for serveral OSes, and it also includes a FAQ on how to configure clients to update for their version of the product.

Synaptic is a graphical frontend for APT. It features a flexible filter system that allows you to define several criteria for the package list, such as installed packages, not-installed available packages that start with task, etc. It supports both apt 0.5.x and the RPM-enabled apt.
