jPicEdt is a multi-platform vector-based graphic
editor for LaTeX and related packages, including
eepic and PsTricks.

eArea is a simple cross-browser WYSIWYG text
editor. It works on Internet Explorer,
Firefox/Mozila, and Safari/Konqueror. It even
works with Mac OS X Dashboard widgets. If eArea is
used in a browser it doesn't support (like Opera),
it will display an ordinary textarea instead.

WBOSS is a Web-based spell checker that when run, checks a form field for spelling errors. It allows the user to verify and choose the changes, then inserts the text back in the form.

XDFLengine is a multi-platform, multi-purpose C++
library also available as a web server extension and a
command line tool. It is extensible, featuring basic
allocation including basic language functionality, access
to files, and use of the database in overwrite or object
mode.

Font Industry (字体工业)
makes big charset font creation easier. The
program converts a scanned in grid sheet,
containing a lot of glyphs, into a bitmap font.
The glyphs will be automatically indexed by
Unicode or with a user-selected charset order. The
bitmap font can then be converted to an outline
font like TTF or OpenType font.

YASA is a simple implementation of suffix array
for text and string processing. It can process
UTF-8 strings and ASCII sentences.

SGMLtools-Lite is the successor of SGMLtools. It is a set of Python and DSSSL scripts which makes interaction with Jade in order to process (mostly DocBook) SGML files a breeze, and is easy to extend with custom processing instructions. Out of the box, SGMLtools-Lite knows how to convert DocBook to HTML (2 styles), JadeTeX, DVI, RTF, PS, PDF, plain text, and PalmOS iSilo format. It also comes with a conversion script to convert "old" LinuxDoc documents to DocBook.

Freshmeat XML-RPC for Java is a framework that tries to encapsulate the XML-RPC API from freshmeat into a Java class structure. This allows the XML-RPC calls to be invoked just by using simple Java classes and methods.

Pie is a lightweight content management system for
Web-sharing documents, files, and arbitrary pieces
of information. Making use of a Wiki's meta
language and page-linking abilities, it lets
authors create and maintain content via HTTP on a
corporate basis. It features an emphasis on fast
content delivery to its recipients rather than
sophisticated add-ons, therefore conveying
compiled output instead of performing time
consuming run-time processing.

ProteomeCommons.org IO Framework is a proper Java
framework for handling spectra and peak lists. The
framework can read and write to a number of
different spectra and peak list formats, and it
provides a simple, intuitive Java object model for
working with spectra or peak lists. All classes
support two methods of handling peak list and
spectrum data: in-memory or stream. The goal of
this framework is to support all the popular MS
and MSMS data formats, and to eliminate any time
or effort involved in figuring out how to read and
write peak list or spectrum files.

aart converts PNM (PGM, PBM, PPM) images into colored ASCII. It
supports user-defined color palletes, PSF fonts, and character sets. It
generates a PPM image file or a text file.

XMLMARC converts MARC (MAchine Readable Cataloging) into XML through the use of a flexible mapping syntax (also expressed in XML). Included with the program are DTDs and conversion maps that serve as a starting point for learning about the program.

The Stylus/Handwriting Input Panel (SHIP) is a
system for gesture text entry for Tablet computers
using an X11 user interface. Text may be entered
from an on-screen keyboard or by handwriting
(either printed or cursive handwriting), but this
requires a server application (which is included)
to be installed on a copy of Windows Tablet XP or
Vista.

MakeMan Perl is part of "MakeMan'', a project to
provide several frontends, GUI and non-GUI, to an
SGML interface to write man pages. It is written in
Perl, and parses an SGML input file, and generates
valid roff source that can be read by man.
