ServerKit helps developers quickly build efficient, scalable, and uniformly configured, installed, and executed multi-threaded server applications for Linux. A core server program handles configuration parsing, database connection pool creation, and switching of users. Application-specific modules are loaded at runtime and access the already parsed configuration data and database connection pools via simple well-defined program interfaces. ServerKit also provides a rich API for quick and painless module development.

MyRPC is a remote procedure call framework designed to easily connect heterogeneous systems. It features IDL-based client and server stub generation, cross-platform capability, binary protocol (no need for escaping of binary data, less overhead), support for various data types (like string, binary, signed and unsigned integers, floating point, list, structure, and enumeration), and exception support. It has no external dependencies.

OpenInteract is an extensible Web application
server written in pure Perl. It includes a robust
system of components, object-oriented data
access, a consistent security scheme for both
tasks and data objects, a simple user and group
management system, and a convenient packaging
system that makes it easy to distribute custom
applications, amongst other things. It is stable, and
runs out of the box on five different databases.

Luxor is an open-source XML User Interface
Language (XUL) toolkit in Java that lets you build UIs using XML and also includes an ultra light-weight, multi-threaded Web server, a portal engine, and a template engine. It is also Web Start-ready, as everything fits in a jar and requires no loose files.

The Waterken Server is a platform for building Java applications that use eventual control flow operations, such as asynchronous invocation, to communicate both within the application and across the network to other HTTP-based software.

Macao is a framework based on Javascript and DHTML to build animated
interactive homepages. It is intended to build graphic adventures and
other animated interactive fiction. Macao-based games don't need any
plugin and can be hosted on static Web servers. The framework comes with
a step-by-step tutorial and a complete Java-style API documentation. It
has a Road Editor and other useful tools.

Addresses is a GNUstep address book that consists
of a full-featured address book manager
application, a source-code compatible replacement
for Apple's AddressBook.framework (for accessing
and manipulating address data programmatically), a
framework of view/editor classes that make it easy
to use Addresses from your own programs, and a
number of tools. It is easy to use by both users
and programmers and can store almost all
imaginable data, including multiple phone numbers,
emails, and addresses, photos,
AIM/Jabber/ICQ/Yahoo IM details, and notes. It
supports drag-and-drop and integrates well with
GNUMail.

glibmm is a set of C++ bindings for glib, including cross-
platform APIs such as a std::string-like UTF8 string class,
string utility methods, such as a text encoding converter
API, file access, and threads.

Zebra is a workflow engine that is designed to be
able to support any workflow pattern. It comes
with a Turbine sample Web application and a VB GUI
designer.

MidCOM, the Midgard Components Framework, is an MVC framework for the Midgard persistent storage platform. It provides mechanisms for building a Web site using components without much need for writing code to glue all this together. The administration site gets built automatically by using those components. Goodies like a caching engine and sub-requests make site building even easier.
