nexB OpenAssets is a tool for inventorying, managing, and monitoring applications, software, hardware, networks, and generally any IT asset.
It is designed so that system administrators, IT, and finance can determine what they have, how it is configured, what it is used for, and how much it is being used, so that informed decisions can be made. It complements existing network management software, integrates with a growing number of protocols and tools, and features no-agent discovery and inventory, configuration management including dependencies and correlation, monitoring, and reporting. It makes extensive and innovative use of XML, Xpath, and Xquery.

XIST is an extensible HTML and XML generator. It is also an XML parser with a very simple and Python-esque tree API. Every XML element type corresponds to a Python class, and these Python classes provide a conversion method to transform the XML tree (e.g. into HTML). XIST can be considered 'object-oriented XSLT'. XIST also includes a cross-platform templating language, Oracle utilities, and various other tools.

PPort is a simple yet handy automation program and
its documented counterpart for interfacing a PC
with external electronic devices. Using its two
programs, a daemon and a client, it aims to
control external apparatus by reading and writing
through common computer ports. Using this bundle,
one can successfully control any household
appliance or electronic device with minimal hassle
and practically no changes.

YML (Why a Markup Language?!) is an easy language
to compile into XML. YSLT is an easy language for
code generation, automating your software
development tasks.

vim2html is a small program that will export any Vim-
editable file into well-formed HTML, simulating a Vim
session. It fully supports Vim colorization
(customizable) and authentic Vim syntax highlighting.
It provides an excellent method of presenting programs, HTML, scripts, etc. on the Web. It fully supports valid CSS and XHTML-1.0/Transitional or Strict with HTMLtidy.

align is a general-purpose text filter tool that helps vertically align columns in string-separated tables of input text. It also includes width, another general-purpose text filter tool that helps you work with the printing width or length of lines of input text.

Estraier is a full-text search system for personal
use. Its principal purpose is to realize a
full-text search system for a Web site. It
functions similarly to Google, but for a personal
Web site or sites in an intranet. It has fast
searching, conspicuous results, relational
document search, the ability to handle Japanese
text, and support for handling a large number of
documents. Installation is easy.
