The active storage framework is a hierarchical
object database modeled after the object database
of Userland Frontier (in spirit, not in format).
It is based on an SQL database backend (currently
PostgreSQL is available) that is used for
efficient storage of objects but uses a Frontier
like way to access elements in it. It has rich
data types for storage of Python values, and is
tightly integrated in the Python attribute and
dictionary access syntax. Its query algebra allows
efficient hierarchical queries, and will be
compiled on usage into SQL queries.

libubiqx is an in-memory database suitable for use
in embedded systems. The libubiqx database
management system is a fully functional DBMS API
that supports both hierarchical and relational
data architectures. It provides developers with
robust and scalable data management tools for use
in embedded systems or SNMP agent applications.

ZPoPyDA is a PostgreSQL database adapter for Zope based on PoPy.

WWWdb allows you to set up an
application-framework which is based on a
database. It allows per-user sessions and provides
the ability to insert, update, delete, and browse
your database-tables. It uses plugins to ensure
data-integrity and to define the layout for every
application-form. It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL,
InterBase, ODBC and Oracle. It is
internationalized and contains translations for
English and German, and has a wizard for the
creation of applications over the Web and supports
direct download from the database to Palm PDAs.

VoltDB is a blazingly fast relational database system. It is specifically designed to run on modern scale-out architectures: fast, inexpensive servers connected via high-speed data networks. It is aimed at a new generation of database applications - real-time feeds, sensor-driven data streams, micro-transactions, low-latency trading systems - requiring database throughput that can reach millions of operations per second. What’s more, the applications that use this data must scale on demand, provide flawless fault tolerance, and enable real-time visibility into the data that drives business value. It includes client application drivers for applications written in Java, C++, C#, PHP, and Python. VoltDB community members have also authored client libraries for Erlang, Ruby and Node.js. There are streaming export capabilities for leading analytic database environments, including Apache Hadoop.

Nope is an Open Source, lightweight alternative to the Zope/Slashdot style interactive web page/news source. It's modelled after Zope, but is written from scratch in PHP/MySQL.

Native XmlDB Query Daemon is a client-server
version of the Sleepycat native XML database
deployed as an Apache module. The client is a pure
Java API, supporting XQuery, XPath, and an Xml:DB
API layer. It comes with a graphical admin
console. Server binaries are provided for Linux
x86 and x86-AMD64; for other platforms, compile
from source.

DM1 is a relational database manager. The DM1
component currently consists of the low level tuple
management API.

Open Simp-X is a powerful Internet platform for everyone, attempting to change
programming for the Internet with sharing database information. It strives for
scalablility, reliability, and ease of use. The platform consists of a
client/server pair. Security is a top priority, and data transfers are
encrypted. Open Simp-X achieves scalability through plugins. Plugins can
collect information, manipulate it, and send it back to the database. Writing
plugins is easy since they do not have to worry about how to send or receive
their information, and can focus on manipulating it. Open Simp-X can be set up
to retreive data through a LAN or through a Web server.

JalistoPlus is lightweight, transactional, 100% pure Java database. It is object oriented and is able to directly persist and query for Java object graphs. It has a modular design and may be used either in single or multi-threaded mode. Besides basic operations (create, update, delete, and read), a query module is available. It offers a standard set of operators (i.e. equal, smaller, greater, not, and, or) to build the filter expression. Optionally, indexes may be defined on persistent fields to speed up query execution time.

SOWAS is a general-purpose multi-user financial bookkeeping system implemented in Python using MySQL and wxPython.

Tyserv is a DBMS for UNIX-like systems. It has isam-like access, transaction control, rollback, commit, exclusive lock, access control by client IP address, and user authentication. OPR (Oracle Password Repository) is a Unix-based
secure tool for storage & retrieval of Oracle
database passwords. By replacing hardcoded
passwords in scripts with a call to OPR, it helps
to keep your Oracle environment secure and easier
to maintain.

OpenI is a Web-based business intelligence
application. Based on J2EE, OpenI is an
out-of-the-box solution for building and
publishing reports from XMLA-compliant OLAP data
sources, such as Microsoft Analysis Services or
Mondrian.
