buzhug is a fast database engine written in
Python, using an intuitive, non-SQL syntax.

The kmysql-php PHP library gives access to KMySql forms via any kind of browser supporting HTML forms with only a few lines of PHP code.

Dee-Python is an implementation of a truly
relational database language with Python. Inspired
by Date and Darwen's 'Third Manifesto', it
addresses the problems of impedance mismatch
between programming languages and databases and
the weakness of SQL.

OpenIsis provides a library and tools to access
CDS/ISIS databases, which are mostly used for
bibliographic data (ISO2709, Z39.50) but also well
suited for other catalogues due to the very
flexible indexing mechanism. Based on a C library,
there are also bindings for Perl and Java (Tcl to
come).

Zoned manages BerkeleyDB zone databases using the
BDB Replication Base API. It manages all node
communication and eases the difficulties that
BerkeleyDB replication imposes (such as making
sure that all zone changes go straight to the
master node for transaction processing). It
requires the BIND9 DLZ BDBHPT driver.

PrimeBase XT (PBXT) is a transactional storage
engine for MySQL. It uses a unique "write-once"
update strategy and MVCC (multi-version
concurrency control) to provide optimal
performance over a wide range of tasks.

Permission Record Information Machine (PRIM)
delivers database connectivity via a web browser.
Users can have different database permissions
(e.g. create tables, modify tables, etc.). PRIM
has built-in database analytical tools such as
graph displays, reporting, etc. English and
Chinese (Big5) language support.

FramerD is a semi-structured object database integrated with a Scheme-based scripting language which supports multi-lingual programming (with pervasive Unicode), a stable module system for programming in the large, distributed applications (via an extensible RPC protocol), non-deterministic (PROLOG-like) evaluation for search and set operations, multi-threaded program execution, extensive tools for text and language analysis, built-in HTML/XML/MIME parsers, and intuitive (CGI- and FastCGI-based) Web scripting. The built-in object database robustly supports millions of objects and indexed access to those objects, both through disk files and networked servers.

hamsterdb-python is a Python wrapper for the
hamsterdb embedded database library.

SimpleDBM is a multi-threaded transactional database engine. It has a very small footprint and can be embedded in the address space of an application, or used in network client server mode. It provides a simple programming API that can be learned very quickly. SimpleDBM supports ACID transactions, steal/no-force buffer management, lock-based concurrency, row level locks, b-tree indexes, tables, write ahead log, crash recovery, and deadlock detection.

pgsqlformac is a collection of GUI tools and installations for
the day to day use and administration of PostgreSQL
servers both on and from a Mac OS X environment.

twz1jdbcForMysql (aka tjFM) is a type 4 JDBC
driver for TcX's MySQL database. It has numerous
initialization options settable by URL parameter,
passed Properties or a properties file (for
applications). It can cache query results to
memory (default), disk (applications only) or not
cache at all at the user's option. It handles
insertion (through PreparedStatement) and
retrieval of binary objects (blobs) and is
delivered with source.

DirList is a user directory system that runs as a CGI to serve up user lists, search for various user attributes, view their web sites, define personalised user attributes, and keep it all synchronized automatically with the underlying operating system's user database on periodic intervals with cron.

Javascript DB is a minimal database engine
that provides SQL for JavaScript environments.
All information is stored only in memory.

Baynoon is an object database server that
understands and efficiently implements
relationships (one to one, one to many, and many
to many) between entities using a simple query
language. It is written in object-oriented C++ and
is intended to be portable.
