System Requirements

Escuelas Linux has three editions: 32-bit, a LowMem edition for computers with low RAM, and a 64-bit one, all of them for English and Spanish languages.

-We suggest installing the 32-bit edition on computers with more than 700 MB of RAM and less than 3 GB, as well as 40 GB of free hard disk space.

-We suggest installing the LowMem edition on computers between 512 and 700 MB of RAM, as well as 40 GB of free hard disk space.

-We suggest using the 64-bit edition in computers with 3 GB of RAM or more and/or in computers with Windows 8/10/11 factory preinstalled (UEFI systems).

Some of our files have a “.zip” and “.z01” extension in their name. You would need to download both, as we use split zip files due to the size of our distribution. Consult our Installation Manual to read how to merge the .z01 and .zip files to obtain an ISO image.
