b2evolution, is a multi-lingual, multi-user, multi-blog engine. It was developed to provide a free, feature rich, extensible, and easy-to-install solution for efficient Web publishing of information ranging from professional news feeds to personal weblogs. b2evo can easily be installed on almost any LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) host in a matter of minutes.

This version has been fully internationalized and several l10ns are already included. Security has been improved. The login/registering system has been rewritten. The public interface can now restrict access to protected/private posts based on user login. The bookmarklet and sidebar features have been upgraded to full support of evo features. The regular backoffice and the Blogger API have also been improved. Comment spam prevention (vig-rx syndrome) has been added through a blacklist. This also applies to referrer spam. The codebase has undergone heavy refactoring and gained flexibility.
