The system default Web browser for GNOME and Win32
is now supported. On-the-fly spell checking, a new
appointment menu, and an SQL connect menu were
added. Fink PATHs are now supported on Mac OS X.
All future releases will require root access to
install a shared site-init file.
Emacs now has a modern, native look and feel, with key themes
(cua/gnome/kde/native) and the standard right-mouse popups. This release
supports Emacs beta 21.3.50.
This release brings uniformity between Emacs, XEmacs, and other desktop apps with certain new features. Keythemes allow the user to choose between several sets of key-bindings: CUA, GNOME/KDE, and native. Mouse menus now provide copy/paste features. Tabbed editing is also available when EMacro libs is installed.
