Project Description

Lame Node System is a Web-based idea repository. It is aimed at
people wishing to set up a personal site without the hassles of
detailed Web page maintenance. It supports user accounts, flexible
HTML theming, and several types of "nodes" (HTML input, files/external
links, and pictures).

User input has been tweaked. A new type system has been added for nodes (e.g. "weblog'', "review'', etc.). The ability to list nodes by author has been added, and there is a general extension of the node listing mechanism. The help section is now complete.

This release adds display of related nodes, a preferences page for site and personal preferences, a user login structure so that the "home'' node is now part of the database and is owned by a superuser, and a couple of sections to the help page.

The search page now uses the current theme. A security problem with theme variable was fixed. This problem allowed an attacker to read "../../dirContainingFile". Two new themes were added: "think" and "star". An alternate theme project branch has been started. Redirects were fixed. Protected nodes no longer display a link labeled "add to this node". Logical HTML tags support was added. The admin script now allows the creation of the home node, which means that it is no longer stored in the "header.php.inc" file. This is a temporary measure.
