Updated or new Hungarian, Xhosa, Persian, Khmer, Catalan, Slovenian Russian, Turkish, British, Bulgarian, Czech, Macedonian, Greek, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Welsh, and Danish localizations are now available.
Tsonga in South Africa (ts_ZA) locale data is now available. Bambara, spoken in Mali, is available in the language list box for font attribution and spell-checking purposes (ba_ML). Breton (br_FR) locale data was implemented. Friulian, spoken in Italy and English (India) are now also available. Locale data based on en_GB was merged with the INR Rupee currency to support English language documents widely used in India. Venda in South Africa (ve_ZA) and Ndebele (nr_ZA) locale data was implemented.
It is now possible to disable and hide particular application settings, which comes in handy for central administration in networks. A new keyboard shortcut permits the user to return to a saved cursor position. The bullets and numbering feature was expanded, and a new mail merge feature was added. Macedonian was added as an official language. Several other localized versions are also available, such as Turkish, Russian, Slovenian, Hungarian, Estonian, and Bulgarian.
This release is available in 36 languages, with
more on the way, and is able to run natively on
GNU/Linux, Sun Solaris, Mac OS X (X11), Windows,
and several other platforms. The OASIS Standard
OpenDocument format is fully supported. The
OpenDocument format can be used by any office
application.
