Report Manager is both a print scheme designer (report) and a high-level printing (reporting) engine. The functionality is similar to some other comercial tools like Crystal Reports.

SVG and CSV export have been added. A new custom
text output feature allows the generation of any
output format. A background image can be used in
the designer to allow easy form filling. Database
drivers have been updated, and language support
was added for German, Italian, and Catalan.
HMTL export and report library support have been
added. The security model for server applications
is now better. The report designer is more usable
with the drag and drop feature and categorized
object inspector.
This release adds multiprocessor support (SMP), text output with
printer escape codes or plain text and plain text file input, shared
libraries to access the engine with GNU C and others, Zeos database
drivers support (enabling native access to multiple database servers),
enhanced commandline tools, and Portuguese language support.
This release features positioning of sections based on expression (page and page position), which allows parallel subreports, etc. There is an ActiveX plugin for Internet Explorer, French language support, ,string substitution for parameters, and an enhaced designer. The Web server now serves documents for the ActiveX plugin, and tehre were some bugfixes.
New features include a Web report server which creates PDF on the fly, support for external sections in TeeChart, and child-cascade subreports. Adobe PDF image support, the documentation, and the expression build wizard were enhanced. Small bugfixes were made for OnBeforePrint event handling. Source code units documentation was added.
