smartupload is another tool for uploading a
Web-tree via FTP. The thing that sets smartupload
apart from other upload tools is the way it
selects files that need to be uploaded. Starting
with a user-specified .html it recursively parses
the file and its children in order to create a
list of all files that are referenced. The
resultant list is then searched for files that
have changed since the last upload. Only these
files will be uploaded. This means that additional
files that are not part of your Web-tree (eg.
maintenance files or other stuff you need in your
local Web directory) will not considered for
upload.
