If the scrolled window option is selected, the scrolled Memory Channel window will be displayed on top of other windows after importing memory channels from a CSV file, clearing or sorting channels, or swapping banks. A bug which occurred when a user tried to import a memory channel CSV file has been fixed. A bug which occurred when a user tried to save the template before opening a template or reading from the radio has been fixed.

New choices permit a user to edit memory channels using a tabbed notebook applet or view them in a simple, scrolled window. The tabbed notebook works best with at least 512 MB of RAM, but may not work under Windows XP. A new command to swap 2 memory banks was added. The Main window will appear on top of other windows when the program first starts.

This release includes a new command under the Data menu which clears all memory channels. This is useful before importing a memory channel CSV file if you want to override the current channels instead of merging the channels in the file with the current channels. If you import a CSV file without first clearing memory channels, the channel information in the CSV file will be merged with the current channel information. A duplicate frequency check is now available in the Data menu, and a bug has been fixed in the cleared channel logic when reading ADMS3 files.

Users may sort memory channels by frequency or by label within individual banks. The radio version information is read directly from the radio, saved in the .tk500rc (or t500.ini) file, and is used when writing back to the radio, independent of what the user identifies as the version. The Serial Communications fields are now visible at all times.

Improvements include new frequency and mode controls for 10 Guard frequencies. These are the preprogrammed selections for Preset channel 0. The Enhanced mode logic has been changed to permit the radio to remember the NAM and User Port menus even after using Preset mode. If the radio is designated as an Export or Japanese version, tk500 will no longer warn of frequencies which are blocked in the USA version.
