Project Description

AfterLogic WebMail Lite PHP is a Webmail script with a modern AJAX interface. It supports IMAP accounts, SMTP, and SSL (including Gmail). Users can check and send mail and use an address book. It provides a slick skin, a three-pane view, non-English language support, UTF-8 support, IMAP folders, and viewing and composing HTML mail. A MySQL backend is supported, with Web-based administration and installation and cPanel/Plesk/DirectAdmin integration.

This release has been rewritten from the ground up. It has a new user interface, improved performance, mail folders, IMAP support, an address book (contacts and groups), a rich text editor with spell check, personal user settings, the ability to store mail in a database, mail filters and search, an installation wizard, and cPanel integration.

This release includes both AJAX and classic HTML
versions of the UI. The "Back" button is supported
in the AJAX interface mode. Mail can be sent and
received through any local or remote POP3/SMTP
servers that the user specifies. HTML-formatted
email messages can be viewed securely, and the
plain text version can be viewed as well.
Attachments can be viewed and downloaded. Messages
can be saved to disk. RFC-822 headers can be
shown. Administration can be done via the Web
interface.
