Project Description

Winie is a W3C network utility (implemented in Java) for saving, getting, and deleting files on the Web using HTTP/1.1. The main feature of Winie is its ability to solve the "lost update problem" by storing ETags. Winie uses the client side API of Jigsaw, the W3C Web Server.

An executable jar is now included. BufferredInputStream was replaced by a new MSFileInputStream that supports mark/reset. Notification and error messages were improved. A new option was added which tells Winie to not upload CVS dirs. Many bugs were fixed, including a bug in the Jigsaw Client API with proxy HTTP/1.0 and 413 replies.
