Project Description

The X Printing Panel (XPP) is a tool for choosing the desired printer out of a list of all printers available under CUPS and for setting printer options by an easy-to-use GUI. One simply calls the program instead of the usual utilities (lpr or lp) at the command line or out of applications.

This release does not use function overloading for the password dialog anymore, and therefore it should compile on most commercial Unixes now. Furthermore it supports PPD-O-Matic PPD files from www.linuxprinting.org and the "natural-scaling" option for printing images.

Integer and floating point options of CUPS-O-MATIC PPD files are supported now, so colour calibration and head alignment (and similar things) are possible for many printers. The main window is resizable, and several optical enhancements were added.
