That's what I meant - the ./configure script in ghostscript should detect
dlopen()/iconv. If they are not found, not to build the opvp driver,
so adding #ifdef should be unnecessary.

However, I see you may be discussing a different issue: trying to build
ghostscript on Mac OS X 10.4+ and use 10.4 binary on 10.2.
When the build system is newer than the running system, there
may be problems.
