The performance hit between S3_0 and S3_1 is getting in the way of getting results out from autogame testing setup in a sensible time - for those patches that I want to put through it. The machine running those certainly isn't bleeding edge - it's my older linux box, and even my newer machine is not that new any more.
Do this increase slowness of WW2 scenario, which is great but already very slow.
Running autogame setup (with random randseed, so not directly comparable) that just a couple of weeks ago took a couple of hours now taken over 24h and counting. The slowdown was obvious from the very beginning of the game - I thought that the game has not properly started as the first autosave (turn 25) never seemed to come...
