Details

We currently have "p" both cleaning pollution and paradropping, depending on the situation. 1) This can make even single key press to initiate different actions for different units when multiple selected. 2) There's no way to paradrop when unit can clean pollution

'j' (Jump) would be free on all clients.

Qt-client's stored shortcuts prevent splitting the keys (adding a new one) in d3f S3_1.

Qt-client's stored shortcuts prevent splitting the keys (adding a new one) in d3f S3_1.

Our options would then be to either change none of the clients, or to allow their key allocations to differ in this. I'd say that we don't let Qt-client to keep all clients hostage. This is just another example how Qt-client's own designs going against our general mechanisms make it impossible to treat it like a first class citizen - more work needs to be done to bring it in line with rest of freeciv.

So, I'm for changing other clients in 3.1 already (this ticket), and opening a new ticket for changing Qt-client in 3.2.
