The E2 Gaim Plugin replaces text in your instant
messages that is surrounded by square brackets
with a link to the Everything2 node of that title.
If you like, you can also use the "|" syntax to
display one thing but link to another.

Escaping of bracketed text was added to prevent it
from being linked to e2. For instance,
"\[bracketed text]" will not link to e2, but
rather just put "[bracketed text]" in the message.
Likewise, "\\[bracketed text]" will make a link to
"bracketed text" on e2, but will show a "\" in
front. The distributed binary is now stripped.
This is a completely new version of the plugin that works with current
versions of Gaim. It is functionally identical. It has been tested with
0.74 and 0.75 on Intel architectures.
e2plug now works with the gaim 0.11.0 tree. If you
have an older gaim then 0.11.0pre1, you should
continue using 1.0. For users of newer gaim
versions, this is a required upgrade.
