Project Description

ETV is a personal video recorder (PVR) especially
suited for European use. It can schedule by hand
or according to rules based on XMLTV. It can also
time-shift. The recorder runs on Linux, and the
scheduler and frontend on either Linux or Windows.
Its GUI is designed to be used with a remote on a
TV screen.

Beta 6

Unicode support was added for program information,
on-screen text, and user input. Diskspace is
monitored, and wipeable recordings are freed if
needed. Lots of tiny user-interface improvements
were implemented. A local copy of the SDL library
can now be used, meaning that the SDL-patches
needed by ETV don't have to affect your global
library anymore.

uninstall" capabilities. A command-line playing
option was added. Estimated and real filesizes can
be displayed. A "smoketest manual" was written.
Spanish and French translations were updated or
added. A lot of other bugs were fixed.
