Project Description

lxdvdrip is a command line tool to make a copy from a video DVD. It automates the process of ripping, authoring, previewing, and burning the DVD. It uses tools like mplayer, transcode, vamps, dvdauthor, and growisofs. You can backup just the main feature without the menu or the whole DVD.

A bugfix in the mode "vamps_menu": DVD structure from the hard disk can be copied. wodim/genisoimage replaces cdrecord/mkisofs. A fix for building on Ubuntu 11.10. Mbuffer replaces buffer (lxdvdrip -st=trans_par). Support for dvdauthor 0.7: create the file ~./config/video_format with content PAL/NTSC. Support for dvdauthor 0.7: patches (against the error "SCR moves backwards"). A bugfix for vlc as a stream tool: use dvdsimple instead of dvd, or else vlc does not quit.
