Melange is a chat server written in C++ and a bundled Java applet. It also supports direct telnet connections and includes features such as public and private channels, hidden caves, anonymous channels, and many advanced commands. An easy to use group/policy system allows you to configure the chat for various demands, and an optional MySQL backend is supported along with multi-language support.
