0.4.226

This release has a new persistent file-based message cache/queue mechanism. The queue is serviced by a background thread, and the cache is disk-based so that data will not be lost in the event of a crash. The filtering facility has been implemented for filters specified in an XML format on disk. The file format will be documented in an upcoming release of the manual. Triggering capability has been added in conjunction with the filtering sub-system. When a record matches a filter with an associated system shell script, the script is executed in a background thread.

This version contains a fully MSI installer, including integrated support for installing the VC8 redistributable binaries (runtime libraries). A complete self-contained Java client is now available.

properly. Loadable logger modules are now working.
Four logger modules are supplied, including file,
syslog, laf, and xdas loggers. The default logger
is syslog. The Linux kernel submit module is
available for Linux systems that have the
Light-weight Audit Framework sub-system built in.
Windows registry configuration is available;
properties are overridden by the xdasd.conf file.
Configuration property values on Windows may
contain environment variables which will be
expanded as the values are read in from a file or
