Project Description

pyDirStat is a small tool to view statistical
information about a directory. It will generate a
view of all files contained in a directory (and
subdirectories) with rectangles. Each rectangular
area is proportional to the file sizes. It's
useful for viewing disk usage with graphics. It's
a non-interactive command-line tool that will
generate HTML or SVG or SWF files. On Windows, it
also runs as a shell extension.

0.9.11

This release uses a unique "pydirstat" script instead of a gazillion small scripts using the new plugin architecture. This allows the use of the old SVG and Ming backends under Windows. Therefore, Windows users can now generate an HTML file, an SVG file, or a Ming (Flash) file containing the directory statistics.
