UDF is the filesystem standard used by DVD-ROMs and "packet writing" software for CDRs and CDRWs, such as Adaptec's DirectCD. UDF is intended as a general replacement for ISO9660.

This release fixes a bunch of bugs, and improves compatibility with -ac and Redhat kernel releases. It includes a fix for missing directory entries (specificially on the Matrix DVD). This release defaults to strict UDF conformance, which can be disabled with the -o nostrict mount option.
Fixed a rename bug when rename caused an AD_IN_ICB to be expanded out of the directory. Added strict mount option. Rewrote sparing support, and added udf_relocate_blocks.
Fixes for a lot of really stupid bugs found in 0.9.1, support for tables in addition to bitmaps, and support for the freed variety of both bitmaps and tables. Linux 2.3.99-pre6 is synced up with the version in regards to all bug fixes, but does not include the table support as it is still beta.
Truncate and block size calculations fixed. noadinicb/shortad options, cdrwtool and pktcdvd to tools, and udf versioning info added. Flag system and mkudf redone. Quota should be set everywhere correctly. 2.3 development changes synchronized,
