Major improvements have made this version fully functional. Almost all features except import and export conversions are implemented. Among the major changes are the ability to edit records and categories, operational file saving in VLB-1 format, completed categories and record reordering tools, and a proper edit menu.

This release was completely rewritten to work with GTK 2 (thus the 2.x.x version number). It is now able to display .vlb files from version 1.x.x, but editing functions are still inactive. The interface was changed a lot, with many new features (keyboard navigation, zoomed image display, undockable view, etc.) and a complete new set of graphics.
