While this comment was posted after I submitted the patch, it came about the same moment - and I've thought that it referred to the original bug, not to the proposed patch. If that's not the case, please open a new ticket about Mac bug.
Qt-client's color selection options do not work, and after some debugging there seems to be so many things wrong with them that it makes no sense to fix individual bugs. Rather their handling should be completely rewritten.
