1.5.0

This version adds support for the MPEG4 video codec and makes the Theora video codec streaming usage compliant with Xiph's proposed standard. The GNOME interface has been added, with a new tab to control video codecs order and activation. Finally, the bandwidth management has been revisited to become more accurate by taking into account upload and download bandwidth limitations for both sides, which is required to have a working video communication with all kinds of network connectivity.

1.4.0

This release includes a new framework for audio-video processing and streaming called mediastreamer2 that has speed up the development of new features: echo-cancelation, stable video support with H263-1998, experimental video support with the free theora codec (very efficient at low bandwidth), and the ability to use WAV files instead of a sound card (linphonec only).
